I recently built a new computer and the mother board
came with a usb 2.0 card. I have all xp updates installed
including the service pack. When ever i plug my Buslink
usb 2.0 hard drive into the usb 2.0 card i stll get the
error message that says "hi speed device plugged into a
non-high speed usb hub", i dont know what to do i have
the latest card updates, and still no luck ,if there is
anything anyone can do to help me, i would greatly
appreciate it. Feel free to e-mail it to me.
Thanks, Justin

Ensure if you have a VIA chipset on the motherboard that you download and
install the Via Hyperion drivers from www.viaarena.com. If you do not have
a Via chipset, look at the website of your motherboard manufacturer for
updates. Also ensure you have SP1 for XP downloaded and installed.

You might also check you system BIOS to see if there is a setting
there that activates the 2.0 part of the USB ports. On my ASUS P4C800
there is a USB setting that flips between "high speed" and "full
speed." It defaults to "full speed." As it turns out, the setting
needed for USB 2.0 operation is "high speed."
