View Full Version : "Save As" Window Default View Mode
Very Confused

Whenever I use the "Save As" Window in Internet Explorer,
The files pane displays thumbnail images. I know I can
change the view to details by clicking the upper right
icon, but the next time I use "Save As", it's reset to
thumbnails. How can I make the default view the details
view. Thank you.

Hi 'Very Confused',
The views in the common dialogs (save as.. etc) cannot be customized. This
is by design.

As Anando stated, this is by design. Thumbnails, is generally only shown in
folders that contain .jpg's etc. If you have a folder that you work with
more often than not, you can add it to the left side of the Save As dialog
box at system level and the view will be retained.
