Microsoft fax

when i try to shutdown my PC i get an error stating "End
program- Hidden Fax window" with a End Now
Button.Although i have fax(part of XP in communications)
installed but never use it.When i check the status of my
machine using msinfo32 utility and find that in software
environment->services fax service is stopped and start
mode is manual.
My Machine has Microsoft windows XP Professional
installed on a compaq D510 machine.
Pls help.

You can disable the fax console- control panel, on the left pane, "Add/Remove Windows
Components", un-check Fax Services.
If you rather not disable the fax, see if putting the Fax services startup type as
automatic in Computer Management will change anything.
