windows xp does not recognize ieee 1394 port on video card

I have a ati all in wonder radeon 8500dv video card with 2
ieee 1394 ports. Windows xp does not recognize either
port. I have downloaded the latest drivers from ati and
installed them, it still doesn't work. I have disabled the
plug n play option and tried to install the ieee 1394
driver manually in device manager and it tells me that the
driver cannot be located. does anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have Windows XP SP1 installed?
Does Device Manager show up anything or Event Viewer?
