USB and speakers

Hello,

I have a problem eversince I started using Microsoft Intellimouse using USB,
my speakers make loud crackling noise mostly when I play video games but
other times too. I also have USB printer and USB infrared interface. My
soundcard is some Soundblaster series, I'd say nothing fancy and speakers
connections are ok everywhere. I heard that this is USB problem and that a
patch exists but couldn't find it any where. Any help would be appreciated.
