I have recently purchased a new motherboard and proccesor
hoping to speed up my machine. When i installed all of the
components and attempted to install windows, it gets to
the device section and then goes to a blank screen and
then comes up with a top message:-
0x0000007a (0xe103dc34,0xc0000098,0xbf92b27e,0x13a0a860).
I did eventually get XP profesional on but it is very slow
and is constantly crashing and displaying a blank screen.
It is slower than before i upgraded from a 1.2ghz to a
2.0ghz.

Please can anyone help me!!!!

Greetings --

Normally, unless the new motherboard is virtually identical to the
old one (same chipset, IDE controllers, etc), you'll need to perform a
repair (a.k.a. in-place upgrade) installation, at the very least:

How to Perform an In-Place Upgrade of Windows XP

This may also require re-activation. If it's been more than 120
days since you last activated that specific Product Key, you'll most
likely be able to activate via the Internet without problem. If it's
been less, you might have to make a 5 minute phone call.
