Anyone know how to make XP remember the size of a window when you close it
and open it again later, even after a reboot. I know how to size it by
stretching it but after a few openongs it reverts back to it's default size.
I even click status bar in the tool bar menu and it goes away after the
explore goes back to it's default. I just don't get it. It was ok before,
now this.
detail.

Thanks

Delete the Registry keys
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell \Bags and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell \BagMRU, both with
all the subentries, then create new keys "BagMRU" and "Bags" here. At
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell NoRoam create a new
DWORD entry
BagMRU Size
and set this to
5000 (decimal)
Restart the computer.
Your folder settings will be reset now, but the cache for folder
layouts is increased so that folder settings should not get lost
anymore.
