I have moved my comp. unpluging everything then pluging
back in (I have done this before) but the comp. insists I
reinstall my printer which would be fine except the cd-rom
won't open to put a disc in. it lights up but won't open.
I have tried everything.
Please help

You might not have the cables to the CD drive reconnected correctly.
If you have a USB printer, make sure it is plugged into the same
port, otherwise the operating system will try to make it a second
instance of the same printer. Try all the USB ports until you do not
get the New Hardware balloon. See whether the CD-ROM drive is
detected when you boot up. It should be on the first screen. If it
is not, either the power cable is not connected or you have it on
the wrong IDE channel.
