Originally, my Pc holds 256 DRAM .
I upgraded it by adding a memory slot of 128 DRAM.
However, when I started the PC, it only reads 229.xxxxx
Dram available in the PC .
May I know how about to do so, so that the PC can detect
the new memory ram that I slotted?
Thank You

Greetings --
Actually, you should have checked with the PC's manufacturer, or
www.crucial.com before buying anything. It's absolutely essential
that any new RAM module be compatible with both the motherboard and
any other RAM module(s) in the system. Additionally, there are
sometimes jumper switches on older motherboards that need to be reset
for the new RAM configuration. Consult your motherboard's manual.
