quantum fireball hard drive

when windows boots it gives me a stop error message that
says stop: 0x0000007B (0xFE55E640, 0x000000034,
0x00000000, 0x00000000) it says to restart the computer
and fix the problem while in safe mode. i tried running
it in safe mode, but it stops while loading a file called
MUP.SYS i have no idea what to do...please help
