Personally, I find XP much more stable. The NT file
system is far superior. System restore is excellent.
You can get to "Defragment" and "Disc Cleanup" from
Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools. "Check Disc" has
replaced "Scan Disc". You get to it by right clicking your
C: drive, selecting properties and going to the "Tool" tab.
As for learning where things are, try Start/Help. If
you don't like the new layout, you can change your window
and file system to the old "Windows Classic" style.
Ofcourse, you could always go back to Windows 98, but
I'd be willing to bet that once you get used to XP you
won't want to.
Cool down, give your self a chance to get used to XP.
It really is better.
Good luck,
Milt
