Need help recovering partitions

Ok, I have a Western Digital 160 gig hd that I had
partitioned into a 5 gig for the OS (Windows XP Pro),
then an 80 gig and then another 75 gig.

My pc has been a little sluggish, so I ran Norton Speed
Disk and my C: was 25% fragmented. After running that I
started getting errors on applications installed to my D:
drive. So, I ran Norton Disk Doctor and it said
something about the partitions had a problem and it could
fix them. I let it do that and then after rebooting it
comes up and says 'Missing Operating Syste' and would go
no further.

I reformatted C: (the 5 gig) and reinstalled Windows XP.

Now my question...is there any software out there that I
can use to recover or reconstruct my other partitions?

The only way you can delete, create, resize or merge existing =
partitions,
and not harm your existing Windows XP installation, is to use
a third-party partitioning program such as Partition Magic 8
(www.powerquest.com).

True Nicolas,

But Partition Magic will not rebuild or recontruct
screwed up paritions...it will do all the things you
listed though.

I need to fix or repair my current partitions that are
there, but just screwed up by Norton.

Norton may have changed only the Master Boot Record partition table. If
you were using just the NT boot loader to create your partitions, you
might be able to boot to the XP CD, select the first repair option,
logon to the Recovery Console and run the map command to see if RC can
read the partition type and size. If so, then run fixmbr.
