I just bought a new computer. NOW I can't get to all the
data and information that I had on my old computer.
PLEASE talk in English and not computereeze... as I'm a old
grannie that drives it, but doesn't understand it!
My new computer uses Windows SP... My Windows 95 is the
home one, not the professional. has 4.0 next to the
designation.
Thanks to anyone who can HELP me get my Christmas Card list
out of it - as well as lots of other stuff I want to keep!

Hi Malisa,
I hope you have transferred all your data into the new computer. If so
search in the directory where you have copied your old data.
if you are talking about old application you use to work on in the old
computer, you need to reinstall them on the new one.
Regards
Benny

What kind of data do you want to transfer?
On the Win95 machine, you can copy many data files to floppy disk or CD (if
you have a burner). Then take the disk over to the WinXP machine and copy
the files over to your hard drive. TIP: If using floppies, format them on
the WinXP machine before using them.
You may also want to take a look in Windows XP's Help and Support. Type
"Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" into the search bar. It is a tool
designed to help you transfer data from one computer to another.
