Hi,

Have a Windows XP machine that the user swears was working
fine last night yet now when attempting to boot the system
hangs while the XP picture is displayed (just before the
logon screen appears).

No hardware or software upgrades have been performed to
the best of my knowledge. It would appear that the machine
has simply 'just stopped working'.

I am able to boot up into safe mode where everything
appears fine but when attempting to boot normally or use
the last known good configuration the system hangs again.

Also there appear to be no system restore points available.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Alan

Hi Alan,

As you are able to access Safe mode, try:
