Somehow, I remember seeing a setting that gives you the option of
automatically deleting an icon after it has been dragged into a folder- on
the desktop. Anyone familiar with where that setting might be????

Drag the icon with the right mouse button. Select "Move Here" from the menu
that appears when you drop the icon into the folder.
