Hi

Does anyone know how to fix an invalid partition table. I
have tried fdisk and fdisk/mbr ect but nothing.

Also if i open partition magic the drive shows up as bad.
This drive is about 2 weeks old.

The drive has been used as a slave in another machine and
i think that is what may have caused the problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks.

You can't use those 9x tools on an NT system. Boot to the XP CD, run the
Recovery Console, and run "fixmbr". I can't guarantee this will work,
but you likely need the partition type reset and the right partition set
active. A third-party tool might be able to fix this if the Recovery
Console cannot. Don't give up. Your data is still likely intact.
