Can anyone tell me why I have low disc space on a 60 GB
hard drive when it shows over 50GB on drive "D" available?

If you have 50GB free on D that means D is a separate partition. This also
means that your C partition is less than 5.5G, so I'm not surprised you're
out of space! Windows requires 1.5GB for a minimum installation. This leaves
4GB for other things. Suggest you purchase Partition Magic 8 and resize
those partitions. I would do it in a 1:2 ratio - which would make C 18.5 and
D 37. And before you say "well that doesn't add up to 60" I know - it isn't
meant to. If you don't understand why it isn't meant to, I suggest you do a
Google search, as I often post on this topic.
