Curious to see if anyone can help me with an office
problem. A new branch of our company is purchasing new
pc's they come with XP. Someone has made the office
manager believe that Outlook on XP will no longer work
with our other systems on the network using Outlook for
the inner office emails. Is this true? If you have an
answer.. do you have info on where I could go and read up
on it. I'm trying to help my office make the smartest
business decision they can.

Thanks!!!

What do you use for a mail server? (presumably Exchange 5.5 or 2k?). And
what are you running on the servers.

If you have NT or 2000 servers and run exchange 5.5 or 2k, then XP has NO
PROBLEM working with the interoffice mail. You configure the outlook client
to point to the server and Va-olia, it works. Easy and simple.

If you have more quesitons - tell your IT guy to go the the microsoft
exchange server and client newsgroups. Both have very qualified people who
help out in there with getting those configs up and running correctly
