How does one turn off automatic software updates permanently for the Office
Keyboard, using Intellitype Pro software?

If you have Zone Alarm firewall, just tell ZA to always
block the update programs.

Sorry, I have Norton Internet Security. Should I block type32.exe? Or will
that disable my keyboard...

Same thing. it will just block the program from getting
automatic updates or whatever it does. Zone Alarm pops up a
window asking, by name, if a certain program should be
allowed to access the internet, you can block it each time
or make it a permanent block (you can change) by putting a
check mark in "remember answer".

Perhaps you haven't understood my question. If I block the specific program
"type32.exe" (which is the program which Norton reports each time) will it
disable my keyboard?

Blocking the program's access to the Internet will not stop it from running.
