Anyone have any idea of how to make USB 1.1 components
work with XP and sp1 updates when using a USB 2.0 pci
card , have followed microsofts advice about scanning for
hardware changes , but as usual with microsoft advice it
doesn't work , any of you bright people have the answer
please , Thanks .. Vic

Sounds like you got stuck with USB card that is not backwards =
compatible. But it could be that the drivers for it weren't installed. =20

You need USB 2.0 compliant hardware at both ends of the cable to make that
work. If the Hardware you're plugging into a USB2 port on your system is
only USB1.1 compliant that's all you'll get.
The 'way round it' is to buy new USB2 compliant hardware.
