problem with xp and IE6

[GRAHAM]

I am only getting this with IE6 all other apps run fine on
the net messengers,Email, but every time i am in IE6 after
a while it boots me off with an error
I am connected to the net via ADSL using an alcatel speed
touch usb modem
I am at present using the same modem and phone line etc
but using winme and there is no problem
has anyone come accross this before and what is the answer
if there is one
