Corrupted Profile

Hi,
Not sure if this is the right area but I am working on my
parents computer and it says on startup "your profile has
been corrputed and could not be loaded". So now they're
computer basically starts up as a new machine, as in
mainly they lost their Outlook that they had set up
because it was on their profile, so what I am wondering
is there any way I can get that profile back? I have
already tried system restore which did nothing.
