zone alarm

How can I uninstall Zone labs zone alarm from my pc? I go
to uninstall zone alarm and a message comes up saying---
invalid.log and I am unable to install it. I think it has
imbedded itself and I can't get it out

One option would be to re-install and then uninstall and see
if that helps, could because the file maybe be corrupted.

ZoneAlarm has its own uninstall...didyou use that or control =
panel/add&remove ?????????

Hi Sherry -

ZoneAlarm creates the file INSTALL.LOG in the program folder. This file
contains the information that the uninstaller uses to remove the program.
If this file is damaged or missing, it will not be possible to uninstall the
program without peculiar intervention.

To work around this problem, install the program again. Reboot your
computer and then uninstall it. The uninstallation routine should work
properly the second time around.

If you uncheck the "Load ZoneAlarm at startup", then reboot. It should
uninstall OK.

True - but not if INSTALL.LOG is missing or damaged. The uninstaller uses
this file as a roadmap of where to locate all the items to remove from the
system and the registry.
