i have a cd burner and a normal cd drivei tried changing
the cables to switch whose the primary and whose
secondary but it still wont work. i checked to see if one
of the drives dont work but they both work perfectly but
when i connect both together to the same cable the
computer always detects the cd burner even tho i switched
them around i tried entering the BIOS setup but there's
nothing about a secondary cd drive.

It looks like you need to change a jumper on one of the drives.
or you have them set for cable select and you system doesn't
support it.
