I have been using XP- home ed. for over a year with no
problems. Replace P3-800EB & SOYO 7VCA MB with a P4-
2.4GHz & SOYO P4X400 Dragon Ultra. Using same case, hard
drives, U.S. Robotics 56K Voice PCI modem, etc. I did the
replace on XP and had to re-activate. Now XP does not
recognize my modem, even though it is listed correctly in
Device Manager, working properly, and passes diagnostics.
(IP software from Prodigy, YAHOO, and ATT declare there
is no modem. Current resources used =I/O range D000 -
D007 , IRQ 18.
One other issue (maybe related) When trying to access
System Restore, I get "The procedure entry point
RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could not be located
in the dynamic link library WINSTA.dll" Any ideas??
