Working off of WinXP-Pro, in an attempt to close out my windows before
shutting down, can't shut down my usb adsl connection. Tried doing so
unsuccessfully by disconnecting using the task manager and then shutting
down which only leads to the system hanging at the "saving your settings"
point on the shutdown. Only choice left is to use the power off switch,
obviously an unhealthy practicie. Have checked the MS knowledge base and
tried their fix without success. Using updated anti-spyware, malware, etc
as well as updated Norton anti-virus. Could this be connected with bad USB
drivers? Any help would be most appreciated!
