Hello,
I just did a clean install of Windows XP Home and applied all the
appropriate Windows Updates. Each time XP boots, I get a message that new
hardware is found, the device has been installed, and that I need to reboot
......
I have no idea what hardware is being installed.
Does this information get logged anywhere so I can identify what
hardware/device keeps getting re-installed?
If I can identify the hardware/device, how can I stop XP from continually
re-installing the driver?
All installed hardware is working. I have a PCI video card, internal modem,
sound card, network card, PS/2 keyboard, two ide drives, CD-RW drive,
DVD-ROM drive and a USB mouse.
There is no printer installed nor any other external devices.
All help is appreciated.
