Using the WindowsXp "Start Menu -> Search -> For Files and Folders" feature.

For example, I have some .TXT files in C:\Test\, that contain string
"Hello". When use the above search feature to look for files that contain
string "Hello", it always return nothing.
I have tried to:
1. try to use and not using Indexing Services - no luck
2. check on Search SubFolders, Hidden files, everything..., no limit to file
size ,...

Previously I don't have any problems with Win2k.
Anything (settings, etc) that I missed?

Rgds,
Erfan.

I used the Search feature in Win2k quite intensively since
it has a nice UI and I don't have to remember or tes/try
grep's switches. But in WinXp it doesn't seems to work (for me at least).
:-(

I have found the search tool included with XP to be too lacking and use
this free tool instead: http://www.agentransack.com/download.aspx.
