Enable CD drives

When I start my XP system, I get a message that the
system had disabled my CD drives.
Is there a way to override or change this?

You have references left in the registry some drivers that do not work
in XP. To tidy up, get a registry patch file, cdgone.reg, from
www.aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip, extract it, r-click on it and merge
it into the registry

You will then need to reinstall any burning software that you use.
