I have a file that is on my desktop and I can't delete it
because it is write-protected. Everytime I boot up, there
it is , back again!
Any advice ?

Joe, I think you should be able to right click on the file, choose
properties and then, if read only is checked, uncheck it. Worth a try.

What's the name of the file? Any file, read-only or not, that isn't
currently in use can be deleted by someone with administrator permissions.
