No matter what I try, I can't seem to get the yellow !
out of my device manager. i have the latest drivers and
also the latest hyperian 4in1 VIA. I'm running a K6-400
w/256kb pc100 ram. I have a Soundblaster Live! and a
10/100 network card other than the video card which is a
Creative Labs Ultra TNT 2. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Are you sure that XP is installing the right drivers? Sometimes it has a
will of its own and appears to install yours but it actually is not. I'm
sure there are better ways to do this, but I download each driver to its
own folder, delete the old driver in device manager or wherever, and when
the new hardware detector comes up on reboot, answer 'have disk' and browse
to the folder where you know your real new driver is.
