Can anyone please explain why my system clock is gaining time even after I have changed the motherboard battery. It gains about half an hour a day even though it is synchronised every day. Any ideas please, somebody must have clue but I sure don't. Thanks a lot in advance of your help.

Try this and see if it helps you
1. Start->Run cmd.exe
2. net stop w32time
3. w32tm /unregister [ignore error message]
4. w32tm /unregister
5. w32tm /register
6. net start w32time

Why do you run unregister twice? Just curious.
