Problem:
Only two channels when playing a DVD
Internal Audio cables (from DVD/CD to soundcard)
not needed anymore?
I've tried:
Checking/unchecking digital output in WMP, all device
properties, soundcard software settings.
All combinations of digital output settings and
speaker choices
All combinations of cables (both internal and external)
Using different drivers, different software, dif. DVD's
I have:
Pioneer 106S DVD drive
Soundblaster Live 5.1
Cambridge Soundworks FPS2000 Digital speakers
All newest drivers and software
Changes:
Only change is upgrading to XP from 98
Current setup:
Pioneer 106S DVD drive,
Digital audio cable running from it to soundcard (doesn't
seem to be doing anything),
Soundblaster Live 5.1,
digital output jack(not 9 pin SPDIF),
plugged into the yellow digital output jack is a adapter
cord that is connected to a regular SPDIF cable which is
connected to my Cambridge FPS2000 Digital speakers.
(Everything setup up like it was when it worked on 98)
