If your hard drive got part of the boot sector damaged it
may need repaired. if you have a 3rd party hard drive,
boot up the computer with the floppy that came with it.
there are usually diagnostic tools that come with it that
might help. I think my Western digital might even have a
tool to repair the boot sector.
Also check the bios settings at the beginning and make
sure that the boot order calls for a floppy boot before a
cdrom or hard disk boot. I forgot to do this once and
felt really stupid!
