how do i turn Search Companion OFF>!?

one day i turned on the computer and this search companion
came up when i tried to open folders....and i can't figure
out how to make it go away

Click start--run---type in regedit click OK. In
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\directory\shell. click modify onthe edit menu. Type 'none'
in the file data box (no quotes) and click OK. Exit regedit.
