hello,
I've started having a niggling problem with Windows Explorer. Every
time I open it, I have to click the "folders" button on the toolbar to
get the folders list on the left. by default, the folder pan doesn't
appear. I've tried clicking Tools/Folder Options/view/Apply to All
Folders but to no avail. it never remembers my preferred setting of
having a folders pane. How can i set it so that I always get the the
folders pane?

Andy,

"Explorer /e" starts Windows Explorer [folder pane enabled]
"Explorer /n" starts My computer view.

Hi Ramesh,
Thanks for replying but could you please tell me how to set this so
that when I double click on the explorer icon 9or a folder icon), it
will automatically open up with the folder list? It used to do this
but now i have to press the 'folders' button first. It's a minor
niggle but just want to get it set up nicely!
