View Full Version : HP Driver Install Problem

Dear all,
I am trying to install an HP Deskjet 1000 in Windows XP.
I have done this before with no problems, but for some
reason when I install the driver, it does not appear in
Device Manager and refuses to print - even though the
install process completes without complaint.
This is the only printer on my system, I am logged in as
administrator, and it connects to my USB port.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks.

Device manager will not display printer unless PlugNPlay installs the
driver. Even in this case the devices are "hidden". In device manager View
/ Show hidden devices in order to view printers added by PNP.

I am having this same problem only the driver seems to appear but is not digitally signed.. plus there is one for officejet t series fax and one for printer. I dont know why it is not working when I chose these but I am thinking its because they are not d
igitally signed and have yet to find the correct drivers for my deskjet T45 that are signed. Yes I downloaded them from the Hp site but that doesn't seem to matter.
