View Full Version : User accounts cannot print to network printers

Sorry for double post, moderator please remove which one
is wrong if either.

In our OEM build of XP Pro we come to find out there is a
problem with user accounts that have no administator
rights. These restricted accounts can not print to HP
network printers. I am guessing some group policy is in
effect even though they all say "non configured." On the
same network the W2k and W98 computers print just fine.
This is a simple p2p used mainly for for printer sharing.
All printers have NICs... internal Jet Directs.)

Any ideas?

This is almost our exact problem / behavior but only on XP
Pro SP1 with current patches:
