Hi everyone.

I've heard from some that WXP can't use more than 500MB of
RAM. Is that true???
I have 1GB of Ram and wanna use it all. Should I make any
customizations of XP to make my 1GB works for me???

Hi Baku -

The problem you're referring to is with the Windows 9x/ME kernel and has
nothing to do with the Windows NT Kernel, which Windows XP is based upon.

Windows XP will successfully support up to 4 gigabytes of RAM, depending, of
course, on whether your motherboard supports that much RAM. 1 gigabyte
should be fine (I'm running 1 gig on my desktop machine with no modification
or special settings).

That is your motherboard limit, the limit for XP is 4 GB.

Totally untrue. It was said about Win98/ME - where you needed one small
edit to system..ini, in XP you need do nothing

No. Provided multiple sticks match properly, and are OK by the
motherboard, they will just work
