I read about problems of Drive Image with mixed IDE/SCSI systems, i
tried to fix but i never got Drive Image to run on boot.

My Situation:

Bios: Setting "SCSI first"

Hard disk 0 (IDE) - Secondary Master now:
C: (NTFS) = Windows 2000

Hard disk 1 (SCSI) - SCSI ID 0:
S: (FAT32) = Empty partition for images

Hard disk 2 (SCSI) - SCSI ID 4 (This ID is the SCSI Boot ID):
D: (FAT32) = Data partition (boot.ini is here)
E: (NTFS) = WinXP

Drive Image is installed under XP (E:) but it never worked (doesnt
matter on which partition i install it C, D, E, S) - also tried to
install under Win2000 - didnt work either.

Has anyone an idea how to install under XP to get it to work?

Hi,

yes i have already tried the ghost and this one works without problems.
Drive Image is only the better solution because i can set up an automated
task (every week per example) and i havent found any possibility to parse
any parameters to the windows-version of ghost.

Is my system so strange? :)

I see that your WinXP partition is NTFS. Is the partition also
compressed? If it is, uncompress the directory that Drive Image
is installed in. Drive Image does not know how to uncompress
a file. When Drive Image is trying to boot, XP has not loaded
and is not available to do the decompression.
You can also run Drive Image by creating the boot diskettes
and booting directly from the diskettes.
