designating drive letters in xp

On two diffrent computers I have had trouble with xp
deinating drive letters, on partiotions on drive E. In 98
I could designate a letter for that drine how can I do
this in xp.

That reference you quote below is to do with 2000 servers
only. It is not helpful for the gentleman who asked the
original question.
