View Full Version : XP Home/Pro Question

Hi,

I have XP Home right now, and I am considering upgrading to XP Pro,
primarily for the Remote Desktop capabilities. I have 2 questions, as
follows:

1. Is there any other "real" reason to upgrade to XP Pro, beyond Remote
Desktop? I'm not likely to use the Encrypted File System, so that one's
gone... any other reasons? $200 upgrade is a little tough to swallow for one
feature.....

2. I read on TechTV's site (I know, not exactly the most reliable source,
perhaps) that XP Pro does not allow "Fast User Switching". Is this true? If
it is, there isn't much chance I'd even consider Pro.... Fast User Switching
is pretty much the only way my wife & I are able to coexist on the same
computer. Forcing us to log out before switching users would be a real drag.

Any comments are appreciated :)

Don't mind me. (Although, if anyone wants to reply here, that's fine too
:-P)

W XP Pro does support fast user switching and other methods
that Home doesn't...
