Having completed a repairinstall and everything seeming
to load ok, I am left with a 'problem been detected and
windows has been shut down to protect your computer'

It suggested run CHDSK to see if the harddrive had been
corrupted, but how do you do that if you can't get onto
the computer?
Finally the error message is:
STOP: 0x00000007B (0xFAFD8640, 0xc0000034, 0x0000000,
0x0000000)

Any thoughts from anyone greatly appreciated
Steve

On boot up press F8 and start with a command prompt.
