taskbar disappeared

my taskbar and start menu disappeared, does anyone know
how to get it back? I tried rebooting it and shutting
down the computer, but it did not work.

You *may* have accidentally resized it. Do you still see a blue sliver
running horizontally across the bottom of the screen? (Note: you may need to
move the monitor image up). If so, just place the cursor on it and the
cursor should change to a vertical resize cursor. Just drag the horizontal
line up.
