I have a friend who lives at home, both her and her sister have wireless
optical desktops (mice and keyboard) and for some reason, they are starting
to cross. She controls her sisters, her sister can control hers. Mostly
just the mice, anyway, anything I can do to stop this? The mice are about
15 feet away from each other, and I can't move the computers any further
away.

It's been almost two years since I last used a wireless mouse but I recall
the configuration of the mouse included the ability to set the channel it
would operate on. Set one machine to use channel 1 and the other
machine to use channel 2.

Don't know what brand wireless mouse you are using, but on the bottom of my
Logitech there is a button that allows you to change channels. If yours has
a button like this, push it on only one of the mice.

My apologies, they are made by Microsoft.
I've tried "re-connecting" the devices to their bases, but it keeps
happening.
