My computer was working fine. I have not changed any
hardware. The only update i have made that i can
remember is installing windows media 9. All of a sudden
my computer will not burn a cd. The cd and dvd drives
show up in windows explorer as "cd-drive" where it used
to say dvd and the name of my cdrw drive. I hooked up an
external dvd burner and this shows up also as a cd drive
and will not let me access it. All three drives show up
corrrectly in device manager and say they are functioning
correctly. Also when i connect the external dvd drive it
gives me a message about not having a high speed usb
contoller (something along that line) I never used to get
this message. Any suggestions as to the cause of all
this? I have tried removing the devices in safe mode and
letting windows redetect them. No luck.
