CD Rom Drive Missing

HP Pavalion N5310

My Cd Rom Drive is missing and it is not listed in my
computer under device manager, only my floppy is lidted. I
update with XP one year ago and have had no problems until
now.

I cannot even try to reinstall any programs as booting
with the cd in does no good either .

Go into bios and check that it is there if not change it so it does
