PCI Card & NMI Parity Check Error

When I add a new Wireless Networking Desktop PCI card to
a Compaq Deskpro with XP as the Add Hardware wizard is
operating a blue screen appears saying:
NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error.
When I remove the card everything is fine.
Memory has been checked and is okay, and the PCI card
exchanged - you can see I'm keen to make this network
operable!
Welcome any ideas on what could be causing this problem
please.
