Hi

Under windows XP my total number of files on my C drive is 4.82 GB.
When I look at My Computer the C drive is listed for 12.098 GB of used
space.

Where is this use difference to be found?

Tnx

Dirk

Probably system restore, try disabling it.
If your running FAT32, run chkdsk

Hi,

System Restore usually is less than 1 G.
Go to disk management and see the used space and free
space.

Could you expand on this one 'disk management'?

Tnx

Dirk

Found the problem. It was the system restore option. If I deleted all
system restore files except the last one, +6 GB came free. Wow!

Tnx for trying to help!
