View Full Version : Write Caching

I have a Western Digital 120GB SE hard drive with an 8MB
cache. However, when I look at the properties of the hard
drive in device manager all the options in the policies
tab are blanked and the checkbox about enabling write
caching doesn't even exist.
Does anyone know a way to fix this or a way to check if my
8mb cache is being used?
Thanks,
Rob

Is this drive listed under the Disk drives section? Is it an IDE disk,
connected as such? Does the "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" section contain the
correct items?
